The Flamstead Scarecrow Festival has been running since 2002, and has now become a firm fixture in the annual calendar. People from all over the area flock to see the scarecrows, vote for their favourite, sample cream teas and cakes, and enjoy the ambience of a historic village with its 12th century church.
So do come and see the church, enjoy the entertainments in the churchyard, sample the village teas and cakes, and most of all – have a great day enjoying the scarecrows.
Funds from the Scarecrow Festival will go towards repairing the church, which is in need of major tlc following an attach of deathwatch beetle.
