How you can help

We need financial help: If you are able to donate towards saving St Leonard’s, or set up regular giving, do please visit the donations page of the Friends of St Leonard’s charity, and consider becoming a member.

Both the Friends of St Leonard’s and the church PCC are registered charities, so do have a look at our informal guide to Tax Efficient Giving to enable us to claim tax to add to your gift, and to benefit from legacies.

We need you to visit us: Flamstead villagers are organising a series of fundraising events: please keep an eye on our Calendar and support these events by attending and buying raffle tickets.

We need you to follow us: We post updates on Twitter and Instagram using @flamheritage

We need volunteers: Heritage Lottery is keen for us to train and involve volunteers during the project. Time and energy from local people is as valuable as cash. See the ideas below and fill in the contact form if interested:

Team people

Good at networking, team-building and getting folk involved with ideas and events related to the heritage project.

Community people

Keen to help us develop a community hub centred on developing new revenues to sustain the building.

Research people

Keen to help us photographically capture and digitise the heritage in order to create a full digital archive.

Creative people

Helping us to develop new and engaging ways to interpret the heritage stories for a new generation.

Teaching people

Helping us to build learning resources which use the heritage for keystage learning, and doing talks.

Practical people

Helping us to ensure that the management of the building is adequate and sustainable going forwards.

Do please contact us to offer your help as an expert or as a volunteer – this is worthwhile and it’s fun!
