Following the all the hard work of Andrew Lambourne and all of the volunteers and workers, the first phase of the project is nearing completion. With our fantastic church now fully open again, we are looking forward to the next phase of the project. This will involve a wide range of local and wider community activities and events. St Leonard’s is a great resource for everyone to enjoy. If you have not visited yet, it is open every day from 10:00.

To organise and enable this next phase and to ensure we deliver on our commitments to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the PCC (Parochial Church Council) have appointed a new Programme Board. It consists of James Mellish our Project Manager, Paul Vitty Community Engagement Manager, Jo Burke our Vicar, Miranda Motley representing the PCC, Mark Jenkin representing FoSL, and Roy Lambden as an independent lay Chair. This management structure has been agreed by the Heritage Fund and formally approved by the PCC at their meeting of 3rd of February.

It is the aim of the Board to engage and co-ordinate widely with our stakeholders: local organisations, volunteers, and individuals. Paul Vitty has already been very busy putting a programme of fascinating events together and is starting to meet interested parties across the village.

Regular updates will be provided through all the usual channels so that you don’t miss out. We look forward to welcoming everyone. More details including contact information to follow …
