St Leonard’s Educational Resource
From this page you can access educational materials supporting discovery learning in mediaeval social history, geography, and religious practice. The materials are based on the real-world example of St Leonard’s, a largely unspoilt mediaeval parish church in Flamstead, Hertfordshire. They bring to life many of the characters who lived and worked in the village, especially those who built the church in the 12th Century..
To view the slides and other materials, listen to the audio, or download the files to your device, just click on the links below.
This resource has been created by education professionals for two audiences:
- learners aged 4 to 13 for self-study; the Key Stage 3 materials will also appeal to adults
- teachers using the lesson (session) plans, editable slides, activities, and other source materials provided
